As Americans, a significant number of us are afforded the luxury every kitchen appliance we could ever need and then some … but what if that wasn’t the case? If you were banished to a deserted kitchen island and you could only take five small kitchen appliances
with you, what would they be?We’ve taken the liberty of guessing what those five coveted appliances might be, but we’ll give you a chance to vote on more at the end – in case we somehow blanked out on the obvious. So, in no particular order, here they are:1. Coffeemaker
For some people, calling it a coffeemaker
is an insult when “best friend,” “hate dissipater” and “morning salvation” would be more appropriate terms. If you can’t live without your morning coffee, then chances are good you might die on a deserted island without your coffeemaker.2. Microwave
There are a lot of people that can’t cook, but there are even more people that don’t have time to cook and the microwave
is a technological miracle in both camps. Press a few buttons and ZAP! – instant whatever. It may not taste the best, but at least it’s hot.3. Toaster / Toaster Oven
There’s definitely a big difference between these two items (the last time we tried to fit a French bread pizza into a toaster
it got super angry), but they’re in the same family and share a lot of qualities. Plus, if divided neither of them would probably make the list alone.4. Blender
Sometimes you just need to blend stuff. It’s not complicated. There’s ice cream in the bowl with chocolate syrup, and then there’s ice cream in the blender
with chocolate syrup and a splash of milk – as if a person could live without it!5. Crockpot (aka Slow Cooker)
You must have seen it coming; that we were saving the best for last. The slow cooker
is as magical as a flying unicorn. Soups? Bam!
The most tender chicken wings you’ll ever eat? Zing!
It’s all right there, just waiting to happen, and what’s even better is that you can wander off or take a nap while it happens. But, maybe these contraptions aren’t what tickle your fancy. Maybe there’s something else you just couldn’t do without. ATGStores.com
invites you to vote and tell us your favorite small kitchen appliance.
