One Bad Ladder, Bubba

There are basically two kinds of people when it comes to ladders: those who go up them, and those who don’t. Some people are afraid of heights, but pretty much everybody is afraid of falling.

Wobbly ladders don’t make that fact any easier, and most of us have been there. You see that warning: NOT A STEP. Uh-huh. But, the light bulb is right there and no one else is coming with a taller ladder anytime soon. So, you do the Flying Wallenda balance-on-one-foot thing and …

Hopefully you live to tell the tale.

Little Giant Ladders are doing what they can to keep you off of that last rung and out of the hospital by revolutionizing ladder design. They might look funky, but they’re much safer than traditional ladders – especially old, busted traditional ladders that attract black cats, bad luck and eventual disaster every time they come out of the toolshed.

The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons reports that more than 500,000 people a year are treated for ladder-related injuries in the U.S., and of that group it’s estimated that approximately 300 people don’t make it.

That’s just unacceptable, and Little Giant Ladders thinks so, too.

So, they design all kinds of super-ladders and have organized them into groups with cool-sounding names like Revolution XE and SkyScraper. They even have a line called Dark Horse, which doesn’t sound safe at all, but actually features a hi-tech multiuse fiberglass ladder (A-frame, extension and 90-degree) that protects you when you overreach to hang that last crucial strand of Christmas lights.

The company is also committed to advancing safety at home and in the workplace by providing free ladder safety training seminars at various locations, which is pretty awesome because when it comes to “user error” ladders rank pretty high up on the list. And, that’s not necessarily a bad thing: going for that extra inch is the mark of a champion – except when you’re on the last level in Ladder World.

ATGStores.com is a proud partner with Little Giant Ladders and would like to remind everyone that it’s okay to take it one step at a time, especially when you're 10 feet above the ground.

The optional "short-long" leg functionality of the "Alta One" multiuse ladder from Little Giant Ladders provides an obvious advantage to the user.
