When designing the kitchen I wanted to convey a sense of casual glam. I loved the juxtaposition of the show-stopping chandelier over the rustic table. The kitchen here is such a great space, and the open flow allows the rest of the home to kind of spill into it. I was happy to showcase a lot of different ATG pieces in a way that brought coziness to a space with such a modern feel and large windows. I think the hoop chairs strike an attractive profile in front of the fireplace – they bring a nice textural element to the room and offer some balance to the hard surfaces. Then, the architectural side table and leather poufs help create an earthy, relaxed area where you can enjoy the fire and the view. I placed a graphic shag under the dining table to anchor the space and add some warmth to the tile floor, though it’s the fabulous light fixture that makes it pop. It delivers just the right amount of glam to the space and really draws your eye. I rounded out the design by adding bar stools with an industrial edge to the island. Overall, I think the kitchen now has a modern but warm feel, and complements the other designs in the house.
