Digital Product Specialist

The Digital Product Specialist will primarily be responsible for supporting and executing the successful delivery and validation of new ATGStores.com functionality and managing the production defects from intake to resolution. The Digital Product Specialist will be working with the Product Owner to identify user acceptance criteria by fully understanding the products being delivered, ultimately becoming the subject matter expert across all digital interfaces. This position will also collaborate directly with IT Quality Services, Business Analysts, Business stakeholders and the product Owner in order to align business requirements to test scenarios, identify requirement gaps and dependencies, validate results from all testing activities and coordinate testing activities along the development lifecycle. p>

The Digital Product Specialist will have prior knowledge of user acceptance testing practices as well as strong collaboration skills to work within multiple teams with several simultaneous projects occurring and delivering at a high cadence.

Essential & Core Responsibilities:

Product Defect Support & Resolution

  • Partner with Business Stakeholders to provide initial priority of identified defects.
  • Maintain and prioritize defects backlog.
  • Follow-up on defect resolution status.
  • Provide weekly reporting and visibility to volume of defects and status updates to internal and external teams.

Execution & Delivery Support

  • Support the Product Owner by representing the business needs and requirements to drive feature implementation & development through collaboration with Business Stakeholders, Business Analysts, and IT delivery teams.
  • Build and leverage solid working relationships with business stakeholders, other Product Owners, and strategy teams to facilitate the achievement of product strategy.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Product Owner and IT Quality Services.
  • Assist with post-release knowledge transfer of new capabilities to interested parties.

User Acceptance Testing

  • Focus is on the functionality and usability of the product rather than the technical aspects.
  • Coordinate business testing activities with all stakeholders to ensure the product has met the acceptance criteria defined.
  • Ensure that we have improved the experience when introducing new products to our customers.
  • Confirm that we have met stakeholder expectations when introducing new products.
  • Support Product Owner with production and post-production testing and validation activities including verifying end-to-end e-commerce operations across all digital interfaces
  • Perform business validation during release calls, which occur outside of regular office hours.

Collaboration with Others

  • Works cross-functionally to manage and organize work processes and ensure most efficient work flow.
  • Supports a collaborative environment by working in a team of peers to solve problems and shares information with peers, manager, and customers as appropriate.

Voice of the Customers

  • Provides weekly reporting to Business Stakeholders based on online customer feedback.
  • Support Product Owner with production and post-production testing and validation activities including verifying end-to-end e-commerce operations across all digital interfaces
  • Perform business validation during release calls, which occur outside of regular office hours.

Test Scenarios

  • Subject matter expert for product being delivered in order to review and provide approval for all test scenarios across all digital interfaces.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise to close any gaps in user story creation.
  • Validate testability of requirements.
  • Identify customer (“real world”) scenarios that cover all requirements that should be scripted.
  • Involvement in data setup required for valid scenarios.
  • Interact directly with IT Quality Services to formulate an overall test strategy.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 1-3 years related experience working with cross-functional teams in an ecommerce or technology role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Great attention to detail, organized and willing to go the extra mile to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Passion for ecommerce and related technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation, influencing others and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Experience with project management software such as JIRA is an asset
  • Experience working with agile/scrum teams is an asset

Occasional travel is required.
