In 2014, ATGStores.com began the "All That’s Good Deeds" program as a way to give back to a community that has shown the company great support. As a homegrown local business in the Seattle area, there are many opportunities for us to chip in and lend a hand.
The philanthropy program provides assistance in many ways and involves people at every level in the company, from corporate sponsorship of nonprofit groups and events to organized employee volunteerism. Some projects are the result of singular opportunities, while others reflect established partnerships we’ve made with well-established organizations like Habitat for Humanity.

ATGStores.com volunteers played a key role in refurbishing and furnishing a new transitional foster home in Tacoma, Wash., called JJ House, a project founded and supported by area nonprofit Homestead Community.
The project culminated in an all-day event on Jan. 18, 2017, when ATGStores.com team members met at the residence to assemble furniture and prep the home for its new residents. The furniture, an ATGStores.com donation valued at more than $33,000, was selected specifically for the property to make it as comfortable as possible for youth transitioning through the Tacoma foster system.
Thanks to all of our volunteers for making JJ House a success, and thanks to Homestead Community for their tireless efforts in supporting Tacoma youth in need.
ATGStores.com employees donated generously this year to make the 7th annual ATGStores.com Giving Tree a very special event.
Donations, which included everything from LEGOs and Seahawks gear to gift cards and remote control cars, were wrapped and delivered to four families of Sibling House, an area nonprofit with a mission aimed at keeping foster siblings together and helping provide shelter to those in need.
The Giving Tree, which is one of ATGStores.com's most popular philanthropic traditions, would not be possible without the support of such a thoughtful and caring team. Thanks to all of those who gave so much in 2016.
ATGStores.com employees celebrated the season of giving this year by making food donations to Sibling House, an area nonprofit that supports a network of homes dedicated to keeping foster siblings together. Items provided included turkey, stuffing, potatoes, veggies and pies of all kinds.
The food was delivered to Sibling House homes in person by ATGStores.com volunteers, including the company president, and extra food was donated to Hopelink, a nonprofit that serves more than 64,000 homeless and low-income families across King County.
Thanks to all of those who made donations – your generosity helped bring Thanksgiving to many children and families in the Seattle area!
Rain gardens are eco-conscious landscape features that help filter stormwater runoff before it reaches Puget Sound, and ATGStores.com joined Stewardship Partners in its 12,000 Rain Gardens program to donate a rain garden to one lucky winner in Kirkland, Wash.
Volunteers from ATGStores.com, news channel KING 5, The Nature Conservancy and Lowe’s all helped to evaluate the site and build the rain garden landscape feature. ATGStores.com also donated $1,000 in outdoor furniture to help beautify the space, which was assembled and arranged by volunteers.

ATGStores.com has once again partnered with Lowe's for a Lowe's Heroes volunteer event, this time to assist in the expansion of Mary's Place, a Seattle nonprofit with a mission to provide transitional housing to homeless families.
The organization recently acquired an old hotel in downtown Seattle suitable for new housing, and more than 125 volunteers from ATGStores.com and Lowe's joined forces to repaint 72 rooms, install new doors and frames, install a new chalkboard wall and improve other amenities. ATGStores.com also donated new furniture for the facility that included floor lamps, shelving and other items.
These guest rooms now provide shelter for more than 200 family members, and we're very proud of all our volunteers for contributing so much to the community.
The annual ATGStores.com Back-2-School Drive was another big success, as many employees stepped up to the plate to pitch in so area kids could start the school year with much-needed supplies.
Backpacks, paper, pencils, markers, folders, glue, rulers, erasers – the ATGStores.com team went the extra mile to make this drive a standout, with people dropping off items at donation bins all through the month of August.
This year’s donations were sent to the kids at Sibling House, a nonprofit network of homes that makes it possible for siblings in foster care to live together as a family. Sibling House is based in Kirkland, Washington, and supports family foster living throughout the region.
ATGStores.com would like to thank all of those people who donated items for youth in the Sibling House family.
ATGStores.com partnered with MOD Pizza to repair and landscape Ringdall Middle School in Bellevue, Washington, in support of Jubilee REACH.
Jubilee REACH is a local nonprofit that builds community and empowers youth by supporting the social and emotional needs of children and their families through mentoring, tutoring and after-school activities.
Some 20 ATGStores.com volunteers provided much-needed repairs and landscaping to the school, which included power washing, painting, planting and grounds maintenance.

We're always looking for new ways to serve both our customers and our community, and no one was surprised when the innovative minds in our Pro Services department found a way to do both at the same time, and with All That's Good Deeds flair.
The Pro Services teams wanted to do something extra for clients who had less than a flawless experience, and so they sent them all baskets filled with Washington-sourced goodies.
But, there was something more: included with each gift was an announcement that toys had been donated in the customers' names to Seattle Children's Hospital, which were then hand-delivered by Pro Services staff.
Thank you, Pro Services, and thanks to Seattle Children's Hospital for going above and beyond in everything you do. You are truly all that's good.
ATGStores.com partnered with Keller Williams to support its Red Day Event this May, which invites companies around the world to participate in organized community improvement projects.
This year, 32 ATGStores.com volunteers donated their time to Sibling House, a nonprofit network of homes that makes it possible for siblings in foster care to live together as a family. Sibling House is based in Kirkland, Washington, and supports family foster living throughout the region.
Volunteers focused their efforts on three Sibling House homes, providing landscaping and painting updates. ATGStores.com and Lowe’s provided mulch, paint and trash removal service, and donated additional supplies where needed.
ATGStores.com appreciates all the hard work its volunteers do, and for helping the All That’s Good Deeds program move toward achieving its goals for community improvement.
ATGStores.com and local nonprofit EarthCorps remain allies in the community's environmental stewardship, and Earth Day 2016 presented the team with a new opportunity to help preserve the area's natural beauty.
O.O. Denny Park (that's two O's, after Orion Orvil Denny, whose private estate once occupied the land) is a popular lakeside retreat for both residents and visitors in Kirkland, Washington. At 46 acres, it contains several trails that allow birders, hikers and beachgoers to explore the native woodlands, Denny Creek Ravine and the beachfront.
Over Earth Day weekend, ATGStores.com and EarthCorps volunteers joined forces to rid the park of aggressive invasive plants that threaten the health of the native flora that support the area's wildlife habitat. They also helped clear debris in the park, and so many people arrived to pitch in (nearly 30 from ATGStores.com alone!) that the area was thoroughly cleaned within hours.
ATGStores.com thanks its volunteers for all of their effort in making the community a greener, greater place to live.
ATGStores.com began its third year of the "All That’s Good Deeds" philanthropy program with a bang by partnering with Lowe's, Rebuilding Together Seattle and Porch.com for the Lowe's Rebuild-a-Block event.
The two-day volunteer effort took place in Seattle's Othello neighborhood, which welcomed more than 150 volunteers (46 from ATGStores.com alone!) to help with several building and home improvement projects in the community.
In a matter of hours, volunteers constructed four tiny homes for Othello's Tiny Village, and provided critical maintenance to four homes in the community. Just a few tasks completed included window and door repair, painting, fence mending and accessibility modifications.

ATGStores.com and the All That’s Good Deeds program volunteers were excited to wrap up 2015 with the 6th annual Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is a company tradition that invites employees to don their Santa hats and donate gifts for children in need during the holidays.
This year, employees donated gifts to kids at Acres of Diamonds, a nonprofit that provides transitional housing for homeless women and their children. Others helped sort, wrap and deliver the presents – a big job in itself as there were a lot of presents for the group!
The Giving Tree is one of the company’s most popular All That’s Good Deeds projects, and something all of us are already looking forward to next year.
The Pacific Northwest offers us many opportunities to celebrate our environment with eco-friendly activities, and ATGStores.com has once again partnered with EarthCorps for another chance to give a little back to our beautiful community.
EarthCorps and ATGStores.com tackled invasive species at Juanita Bay Park for Earth Day 2015, and now the two have teamed up along with the Green Kirkland Partnership - this time for an "All That's Good Deeds" project at Watershed Park in Kirkland, Washington.
Watershed Park is located near Northwest University and provides more than 73 acres of park land for jogging, hiking and birdwatching. It's also home to several native animal species that nest in the upland forest foliage around Cochran Springs Creek.
To help keep this area and its inhabitants healthy, ATGStores.com volunteers spent the day removing invasive species and replacing them with native trees and shrubs. The work will help support local flora and fauna, and protect a vibrant nature area enjoyed by many.
ATGStores.com appreciates its volunteers and organizations like EarthCorps and the Green Kirkland Partnership, that place an emphasis on local environmental stewardship.
Acres of Diamonds, a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing to homeless women and children, serves a vital need in our community, and ATGStores.com volunteers were happy to lend a hand in adding needed improvements to their facility in Duvall, Washington.
The staff and residents at Acres of Diamonds were very welcoming as volunteers worked over several days to refurbish the facility's community dining area, adding fresh paint, glass tile and furniture to the space to give it a new, clean look. ATGStores.com also installed lighting and faucets to give one of the facility bathrooms a needed update.
Our contribution was small in comparison to what Acres of Diamonds provides to families every day, but everyone at ATGStores.com is proud to have given a little something back to such a respected community organization.
The ATGStores.com Back-2-School Drive is an annual event that asks company employees to donate school supplies or cash to go toward buying supplies, and this year was one of our most successful ever!
Once collected, donations are offered to area children in need as they prepare to go back to school, and this year the bulk of donations were given to children at Acres of Diamonds, a local nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing to homeless women and children.
Happily, this donation dovetailed with another All That's Good Deeds effort that sent volunteers to Acres of Diamonds to make needed upgrades to their facility.
We'd like to thank all of our employees who provided donations, as well as everyone at Acres of Diamonds for their warmth and hospitality, and look forward to even more participation in the coming years.
For ATGStores.com, philanthropy is just a fancy word for sharing, so when the company threw a BBQ for its employees it made sure there was plenty to go around - which also included a local food bank for homeless youth.
Teen Feed is a Seattle nonprofit with numerous programs that assist the city's at-risk children. They provide access to medical care, job training and outreach to hundreds of kids, but one of their driving goals is to make sure homeless youth have a safe place where they can get a steady meal.
So, when ATGStores.com heard they could use a picnic, too, everyone was happy to make sure they got the hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, chips and cake they needed to enjoy a sunny Seattle day. ATGStores.com hopes to continue to partner with Teen Feed in the future for ongoing donations.
Pets need love, too, and when ATGStores.com employees heard there was going to be a Pet Drive for an area animal shelter they were thrilled to provide mountains of pet food for the organization's furry guests.
Seattle Humane is a nonprofit humane facility that shelters homeless pets until they can be adopted, while also providing training services and spay/neuter services to low-income pet owners. To care for their animals, they do welcome food donations for their Pet Food Bank.
That's when countless employees stepped up to donate food for the animals there, piling it in the ATGStores.com lobby until there was hardly room to move. The Pet Drive lasted through May and the amount of dog and cat food collected was a great help to Seattle Humane.
ATGStores.com employees are a talented lot, and many boast skills that range far beyond what they bring to the office every day. And, it's not uncommon that these team members volunteer their skills for a good cause.
The PwC Challenge @ Chambers Bay is an annual golf tournament that invites area businesses to participate in support of The First Tee of Greater Seattle, a nonprofit that provides local youth opportunities for character-building through golf. The organization makes membership available to all kids and its mentors teach young golfers core values and healthy habits in addition to their athletic training.
Joe Eng, an ATGStores.com team member and golf expert, volunteered his time at this year's tournament at a "Spring for a Swing" event on the course's 15th hole. The donations Joe collected were then matched 100% with a furniture donation to The First Tee clubhouse from ATGStores.com.
ATGStores.com - and Joe - are already looking forward to next year's benefit.
ATGStores.com is excited to introduce recurring environmental projects as part of its All That’s Good Deeds philanthropy program, and the Juanita Bay Park Earth Day Event is the first in what the company hopes will be many environmental success stories.
The project, which involved replacing invasive plants with native species to help restore salmon creeks in Juanita Bay Park, was an opportunity for company volunteers to partner with environmental organizations in revitalizing an important natural space in the local community.
Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland, Washington, is located just around the corner from the ATGStores.com headquarters, and boasts more than 100 acres of preserved wetlands that support native flora and fauna. The park is accessible to the public and is a favorite among families, joggers and visitors to the area.
Dozens of employee volunteers gathered at the park and helped to remove large swaths of invasive plants, which will make it easier for animals to forage and help restore the native growth that will breathe fresh life into the park’s ecosystem.
This 2015 Earth Day event is a first of many for ATGStores.com as it works to organize its next project with input from employees, local leaders and community members who have an interest in environmental stewardship. All are welcome to submit ideas for consideration as we continue to pursue our goals for even more eco-friendly involvement.
The Camp Unity Eastside (CUE) mobile encampment is a self-managed outside community that works to empower area homeless, and many of its efforts are made possible through local partnership.
Forging stronger community bonds is a priority for ATGStores.com through the All That’s Good Deeds program and so lending a hand to the CUE was an easy decision. In an inaugural effort led by the company’s Spirit Committee, 120 bags filled with essential items were donated to individual CUE members.
Each bag contained warm socks, soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste and other essential items donated by ATGStores.com employees. Although this was a first for the All That’s Good Deeds program, Spirit Committee members are intent on finding ways to expand the effort.
The ATGStores.com annual Giving Tree continues to grow, so to speak, and its fifth year was one of the best yet as company employees banded together to make holiday magic for area youth in need. The Giving Tree is a tradition wherein kids request gifts they'd like to have for Christmas, and big-hearted secret Santas make wishes come true.
In the space of a single month, nearly 100 team members donated more than 250 gifts to children in Seattle's YMCA Head Start program and local elementary schools. The gifts were sorted, wrapped and delivered by employee volunteers and included toys, games and other generous contributions.

The All That's Good Deeds program is not limited to corporate partnership and ATGStores.com is as committed to individual families as it is to its many communitywide projects. And, so it was when the when 18-member Pedro family, who recently moved together from American Samoa to the Pacific Northwest, lost everything they owned in a house fire mere weeks before Christmas.
Their story quickly became news as friends, neighbors and local businesses in the Seattle area quickly banded together to provide what it could for the family. Along with the Red Cross, Safeway, military members from Joint Base Lewis-McChord and others, ATGStores.com stepped in to help by providing new pillows, blankets and games for the family, as well as gifts for each of the Pedro's children, just in time for Christmas.
The holidays are a time of giving, but our goal is to do more and give more throughout the new year and beyond as the All That's Good Deeds continues to grow.
The “One Song, One Chance” program is an annual YMCA event that welcomes youth musicians to compete in a battle of the bands with the purpose of encouraging personal and cultural growth – the kinds of things that make our kids and our community here in the Seattle area all that’s good. This year's competition featured 21 contestants and yielded six winners, all of whom will enjoy free recording lessons and recording time in the Kirkland Teen Union Building (KTUB) Voyager Studio.
ATGStores.com welcomed the opportunity to donate funds needed for new instruments at KTUB as well as new furnishings and signage for the battle of the bands event, which drew more than 500 attendees. It’s always rewarding to watch kids do what they love most and ATGStores.com is already looking forward to the next chance to partner with the YMCA of Greater Seattle.
The Cocoon House is a unique fixture in Snohomish County, Washington, that provides much-needed services to homeless youth in the form of street outreach, shelter, education and case management. The facility houses up to 230 Seattle-area kids and serves thousands more each year.
Upon hearing of a need for furnishings and remodeling, ATGStores.com responded to the call by delivering all that’s good to the youth emergency shelter. The company donated lighting, furniture and other supplies while dozens of employee volunteers tackled painting, wiring and landscaping. Working side by side, volunteers from every department came together to make Cocoon House a better place for area youth.
Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County is committed to providing affordable homes to our area’s low-income families and its homeownership program is a proven strategy for accomplishing that mission. With many current projects dotting the county and thousands of underserved community members without homes, the non-profit organization is always looking for new ways to meet its housing goals.
ATGStores.com made a $65,000 product donation in an effort to aid the cause and hopes to continue making donations in the future. By working together, Habitat for Humanity and ATGStores.com can bring more of all that’s good to Seattle-area communities.
