Our Story

ATGStores.com launched its first website - LightingUniverse.com - in 1999 as part of a business plan intended to help people quickly source lighting products for residential and commercial use. Today, that philosophy has helped us grow into a company with a selection of some 3.5 million products from more than 3,500 name-brand manufacturers in 14 product categories that include Furniture, Plumbing, Hardware, Outdoor Living and Sporting Goods.

Now, ATGStores.com operates in the U.S. and Canada from its headquarters in Kirkland, WA, with a staff of nearly 350 employees.

Since 1999, ATGStores.com has worked to achieve all that’s good in serving our customers by providing quality, affordable home goods as we strive to perfect their online shopping experience and grow a vast yet relevant product selection that complements their lifestyles. Our goal is to inspire confidence in our service and our customers’ ability to find everything they need to improve their lives and homes, whether at home or on the go.


Service & Selection

At its core, ATGStores.com is a result of customer loyalty. Our growth was made possible not by investors, but through an ever-growing customer base that reflects our commitment to high-quality service and selection.

Our selection is unique in online retail and includes some of the biggest collections of lighting, furniture, hardware, décor, tools and appliances found anywhere on the Internet. But, the selection is only half of the equation ...

The other half is made up of our highly trained customer service and sales departments; the many faces behind our products that make ATGStores.com such a successful online retailer. Our weekly training seminars and advanced IT systems keep them razor sharp so that our customers get the best service and products available.


Philanthropy & Giving

The ATGStores.com "All That's Good Deeds" program began in 2014 as an effort to give something back to the Seattle-area community in which the company was founded, and where it remains in operation today. The program is supported by company investment as well as employee volunteer effort, and has seen many successes since its inception.

Philanthropy activities include company traditions like local volunteer efforts and charitable giving, but have since expanded to encompass event sponsorship and organizational partnerships with nonprofits like Habitat for Humanity and the YMCA.

The Lowe's Connection

Our company's customer-driven growth is reflected in everything we do, from our diverse product offering and project management tools to the entrepreneurial culture our customers have supported from the beginning. They are who allowed ATGStores.com to become a premier market leader in online sales of home furnishing products, and it was this market leadership that attracted the attention of Lowe's, Inc.

In 2011, Lowe's acquired ATGStores.com as an independent, wholly owned subsidiary that continues to thrive as a stand-alone company - only now customers have access to our vast product selection at more than 1,700 Lowe's retail locations as well as on the Lowes.com website. Our message that "We've Got More" is an invitation to our customers to enjoy the same great customer service with the addition of a greatly expanded product selection and a unified customer experience across ATGStores.com and Lowe's.



ATGStores.com earns an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.

ATGStores.com is presented with the Better Business Bureau's 2015 Torch Award for Ethical Commerce in the Large Business category.

ATGStores.com creates and distributes its first print catalog, with a circulation of 450,000 copies nationwide.


ATGStores.com folds its family of online stores together into one website to provide a more robust shopping experience under the ATGStores.com brand.

ATGStores.com becomes a Google Trusted Store.

ATGStores.com rebrands, adopting the slogan "all that's good" to reflect the core company values of delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service to its customers.


ATGStores.com is accredited by the BBB with an A rating.


ATGStores.com grows to 250 employees.


Lowe's acquires ATGStores.com.


ATGStores.com reaches 3 million products with the addition of Sporting Goods and Housewares.


ATGStores.com reaches 2 million products with the addition of Furniture and Outdoor.


ATGStores.com reaches 1 million products.


ATGStores.com is included in Inc.magazine's list of 500 Fastest Growing Companies.


ATGStores.com is included in Inc.magazine's list of 500 Fastest Growing Companies.


ATGStores.com grows to 100 employees.
