That is an electronic model. The difference between the two is that electric is hooked up to the wiring and all you would need to do is turn it on. With the hydronic model, it is hooked up to the plumbing so you need hot water running through it to make it warm.
This rack keeps our towels dry and fresh and looks great on the tile wall. Before we installed it in our remodeled master bath room we had a problem with no air circulation and mildewed towels smelling after one day of use. We also installed the optional timer (a must have) and our towels are dry and fresh each morning which saves money and time on cleaning them. Wouldn't live without it! Dan and Lisa Peters, Tacoma, WA
We had wanted a chrome look to match the other fixtures. This product comes in a steel finish, looks great. Other brands charge extra for a chrome-look finish and cost more to start with. If we had known better we would have ordered with the electric box on the left, would have saved us some patching and plastering of additional holes.
Good for warming a max of two med bath towels or one large bath towel. Takes about 20 minutes before the rails are warm enough to be effective. So a little preplanning needed to take advantage of this little luxury. I bought the brushed nickel finish. Seems well built, I had a contractor install during a bathroom remodel, and I think it will be good value for money although a little smaller unit than some I have experienced before.
