Magic Johnson Autographed 'Cutting the Net' Photograph
Born in Lansing, Michigan, Magic Johnson chose to play his college ball close to home rather than the top-ranked colleges that wanted him like Indiana and UCLA. After narrowly losing in the Elite 8 during the 1978 NCAA Tournament, Johnson led a hungry Michigan State team back to the tourney in 1979. Facing Larry Bird's Indiana State squad in the finals in what was the most-watched college basketball game of all time, Johnson's Spartans were victorious 75-64. Johnson was voted Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four for his play.
