Dwight Gooden Autographed '84 ROY' MLB Baseball
Dwight Gooden, known to Mets fans as Doc or Dr. K, epitomized the gotta-believe Mets in the mid- 80s. Throughout his career, Doc was a fearless pitcher who helped lead the Mets to a World Series in 1986. He finished his career with the crosstown rival Yankees with a .634 winning percentage and 2,293 strikeouts to his credit. During the Yankees' magical 1996 season, Gooden pitched a no-hitter against the Mariners on May 14. The player, who routinely hit 95 mph on the radar gun as a rookie in 1984, was back for one more fleeting moment. His fastball was back.
