This Nostalgic Warehouse Push Push Plate has a satin nickel finish.
In bygone days, pushplates were used to protect the butler’s pantry door from grime. Nostalgic Warehouse offers several vintage pushplate designs that can be mounted above the doorknob for a distinctive appearance. See options to choose finish.
The quality is good, but the "Antique Brass" finish I received is not the one shown on the site I ordered from when I ordered. Beware: The "Antique Brass" finish may not be what you think it is. The pushplates I received had bright brass in the center with black around the edges. When I ordered, this site showed a picture of the typical, evenly browned antique brass finish that is seen on all other brands for "Antique Brass."

Beautiful pushplate although tricky installation...
I didn't receive any instructions with the push plate. It is beautiful and yes I would recommend the product. I did have a problem with the door I was using however. I was attaching this to a metal door rather than a wood door, and we had a bit of a hard time installing it with the screws provided. Had to use regular aluminum colored screws with threads all the way up to the head rather than the beautiful antique brass screws provided with the pushplate, which had threads maybe only 2/3 of the way up the screw. I will look for matching screws at the hardware store when I get there next time and we should be good to go.
My wife and I have shoped for 3 years for old push plates and neverfound any. With the discovery of Knobs and Hardware web site we would still be looking. The quality of this product is higher that any we have looked at over the years, we were surprised at how well they looked and were made. We give them a high mark for everything.
The plate was perfect as a backdrop for our ancient doorknob (1878). It took several weeks to strip the door and refinish so the hardware became really important. The house is viewed by hundreds of people everyday so we wanted to be sure the hardware looked authentic.
