The number of levels each chandelier has determining the overall height of each fixture. For rooms with low ceilings, you may want to consider chandeliers with one or two tiers, but for rooms with high ceilings, chandeliers with three or four tiers often fit better.
There are 3 distinct ratings to familiarize yourself with: dry, damp, and wet. Dry locations: an area where some dampness could occur but because of ventilation, helps reduce moisture, such as kitchens, living rooms, and dining rooms. Damp locations: an area where some moisture and condensation can build up, normally bathrooms. Wet locations: an area where water or liquids may drip more often, such as open decks, stairwells, and patios.
