The lighting fixture is just what I needed in staging my home for sale. It's classy, elegant, sophisticated, and sets the tone in the dining room beautifully. It's so beautiful that when I move, I'm going to buy another one just like it for my new house.
The light we ordered was missing a bolt. The arms had to be bent in order to make it fit together. We had to do alot of work on the lamp to make it work. The only reason we didn't send it back is because we would have had to pay the shipping to return it on a very heavy product.
This is a very large pendant lamp that now hangs in the (very high) entry hall of our 10-yr old home. I have been slowly replacing the cheesy fixtures that decorated the house since we bought it in Feb, 2010. The new fixtures are all 1920-30's style arts-and-crafts or art deco, and this lamp fits in extremely well. It is well constructed and very heavy. If you have basic electrical skills and know how to turn the power off and on, you can probably hang it yourself, depending on how high up you want it. The only thing cheesy about the lamp was the packing--really cheap Styrofoam--but it made it from China okay, and I guess that says it all. The only reason I did not give this lamp better marks is that the bowl is pure white and the rest of my fixtures are the art-deco yellowish (this fixture only comes in one bowl color).
