Silicone Pressure Cooker Replacement Gasket
After continued use, the sealing gasket or ring will begin to wear or dry out. Generally, it should be replaced once every 12 to 18 months or more often if the pressure cooker is used frequently. The surface should always feel pliable and smooth; if it doesn’t, its time to replace it.
Single Unit Pressure Cookers sized 4, 6 or 7 quarts require a 9" gasket and a 9" lid. Pressure Cooker Sets consisting of 4 and 6 quart pots or 4 and 7 quart pots also require a 9" gasket and a 9" lid. If you have a single unit pressure cooker that is 8 or 10 quarts, or a set consisting of 4 and 8 quart pots, you will need a 10" gasket.
