If you’re searching for a storage solution or decorative addition to add functionality to your room without taking up floor space, wall mounted shelving could be a great choice. Wall mounted furniture is frequently used to hold books, movies, music, photos, and décor, in spaces such as a living room, office, or bedroom. Wall mounted shelving is also a creative way to add storage to a non-traditional area that may not have room for a table or other solution to rest on the floor. Wall mounted end tables, for instance, can come in corner or semi-circle variations that work equally well in a living room or in a transitional space like an entry hall.

While the clean and minimalistic look of wall mounted shelving can definitely complement a more modernly decorated space, there are shelves in a huge variety of styles. Ornate detail work and classic edges can make even a relatively straightforward shelf fit to complement to most classy and traditional space. We also carry a selection of themed shelving to suit rustic décor, sports themes, or children’s spaces. Aside from the appearance of shelves, there are also variations of wall mounted storage that incorporate mirrors, hooks, cubbies, and chalk or pin boards to add as much utility to the piece as possible. Other types of shelves are designed to be used in vertical corner of a space, utilizing both walls to support the fixture.

And, although it can make a big impact on aesthetics and storage space, wall mounted shelving is decently easy to install, even if you aren’t very handy. You will just need hardware, a stud finder, and someone to help you with the shelf (depending on how big it is). It’s important to note that, especially for heavy shelves, you should always install wall mounted shelving on studs in the wall, both for safety and stability. This simplicity of installation combined with the reasonable cost of many wall mounted shelving units makes it incredibly easy to add character to your space with a functional and stylish wall mounted storage solution.
