Social Media & Promotions Specialist

Purpose:
This position's main responsibility would be to manage our social media marketing program and ensure that there is consistent growth in performance. In addition, this position would help in other areas such as media requests and curated category promotions.

Reporting Relationships:
The Social Media & Promotions Specialist reports to the Marketing Director. The Social Media & Promotions Specialist is delegated the authority to accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the position as established herein.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop social media strategies and programs to support the Digital Marketing and related Corporate objectives
  • On a daily basis proactively manage Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Houzz, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Flickr, Tumblr, Vine, and any other/new platforms we decide to invest in.
    • Curate relevant and engaging content to reach the audience most likely to buy from us
    • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a "Social" way while cultivating leads and sales
    • Be an advocate for ATGStores.com in social channels, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
    • Develop and expand community and blogger outreach efforts
    • Oversee ATGStores.com branding design on social and review sites (i.e. cover photo, profile pic, thumbnails, landing pages, etc.)
  • Ensure that ATGStores.com branding message is consistent across ALL social channels
  • Stay at the forefront of the evolving social media marketing industry for ALL channels
    • Best practices, reporting, new platforms, etc.
  • Leverage social analytics tools to consolidate weekly reporting for all social media channels
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of Social Media programs. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Implement a proactive strategy for capturing customer reviews online. Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly.
  • Source products and schedule Daily Deals for the Daily Deal program
  • Manage the push schedule for marketing site content (banners, ad blocks, etc.)
  • Proactively reach out to magazines and TV shows to partner on promotions and get us featured
  • Procure products for all media requests
  • Coordinate logistics of all media requests, make sure it is delivered by the deadline
  • Manage and Merchandise curated categories for promotions
  • Take the lead on curated promotion ideas for the marketing calendar
    • Work with Lowes.ca to gain insight on their promotions and curated categories
  • Coordinate curated category promotions across all marketing channels including email, social media, etc.
  • Report to Director of Marketing on performance of curated promotions
    • Work with development to modify or create new reports

Entry Level ASP.Net Software Engineer

The Entry Level ASP.Net Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and building new web-based applications as well as maintaining existing products for external customers. Since this position is within a small team, we are looking for someone who will be a significant contributor, who is comfortable with all aspects of web development (databases, application design and user interface development).

Projects may include improvements existing customer facing, design of new retail applications, point-of-sale system improvements, integrating with external 3rd party API's, and much more. There is a large variety in the types of projects that our software engineer work on and our software engineers are given a lot of freedom to use their creativity in the design and development of our applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of existing web products

Intermediate Level ASP.Net Software Engineer

Do you enjoy a fast-paced office environment where the work is challenging and diverse? Where your co-workers are happy and fun to work around? Where you get to work with traditional frameworks and methodologies, and also experiment with new technologies?

The Intermediate Level ASP.Net Developer will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining web applications for internal use. You will also be responsible for maintaining the automated scheduled tasks which support these departments, and developing new ones as needed. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with all aspects of developing a web application (from UI to data access). Your customers will be our department managers and employees, so you will be able to work directly with the people who you're providing software to. Great communication skills are a must!

Our team is entirely C#, but we do maintain and integrate with some VB.NET code at times and applicants need to be able to at least read and make sense of VB.NET code.

You'll primarily be responsible for maintaining and adding new functionality to our departmental intranet sites, for our Accounting and Order Fulfillment departments, as well as our EDI management tools and even tools the team uses ourselves to monitor the system's health.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of existing web tools, as well as automated scheduled tasks and other non-web tools
  • Evaluate existing applications and recommending design changes to improve usability or performance
  • End to end development on the tools you create and maintain - from UI, to business logic, to data access, to writing unit tests, to writing documentation
  • Tackling bugs in the code you maintain, and occasionally helping out on other peoples' code as need arises

Minimum applicant requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in web design/development, JavaScript, and HTML markup
  • 2+ years of experience writing efficient SQL queries and stored procedures
  • 2+ years developing C# 2.0/3.5/4.0 in a professional environment
  • Deep understanding of debugging strategies using the VS.NET debugger
  • Ability to at least read and understand Visual Basic 6/VB.NET
  • Proficient in ASP.NET 2.0/3.5/4.0 Web Forms, the .NET framework in general, and writing / working with console applications
  • Experience working with SVN [experience with TortoiseSVN + VisualSVN a huge plus]
  • Experience working with a tiered / repository pattern code framework
  • Experience working with unit testing / deep understanding of the concepts of unit testing

Strongly desired but not required:

  • Experience with Log4net
  • Experience with JQuery
  • Experience working with asynchronous/AJAX function calls

Commercial Accounts Executive

The Commercial Accounts Executive is responsible for managing existing commercial accounts along with developing new relationships by assisting them in finding the right products to complete their project. We frequently process $50,000 + orders and anticipate the average order value to increase substantially as building has picked back up again.

Externally - We work with interior design firms, contractors, architects and directly with several large companies such as Boeing, Hilton, Wyndham and Disney. You will be corresponding directly with these companies and consulting with them the type of products they need, their budget and when they need the product. Once you've assisted in finding the right products and verified stock and lead time with the Manufacturer, you will be generating a price competitive quote to the customer and following up to ensure we earn their business.

Internally - You will work directly with several departments to ensure a smooth transaction for our customer and ATG, including; Accounting, Freight/Fulfillment, Business Development and Marketing. Problem solving and communication outside the department is encouraged. We welcome new ideas & innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to marketing efforts to build brand awareness and earn more business from current customers
  • Identify areas of opportunity and create plans to capitalize on your findings
  • Knowledge of ATG's product offering and website navigation
  • Frequent contact with existing customers to ensure we never miss a quotation opportunity
  • Cold calling new prospective customers and establishing their account in our system.
  • Doing product research to determine how to price a market competitive quote to the customer
  • Ensures that all company transactions are conducted in an ethical and prudent manner.
  • Attend National Trade Shows to enhance his/her professional knowledge and/or to promote the Company.
  • Follows through on systems and procedures for following up on leads, contacts, and commitments.
  • Keeps informed on competitors' selling policies, tactics, services, and prices offered.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred unless there's comparable work experience (2+ years in retail, account management etc..)
  • Some Customer Service/Sales experienced a plus. Especially in retail.
  • A positive attitude
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to do routine business math calculations including computation of sales costs, margins and quotes.
  • This position deals with assertive personalities in a highly competitive industry and will be stressful to some in making the prospecting calls and sales quotes.
  • Excellent organization skills needed to juggle many quotes at a time for current customers while maintaining a satisfactory level of daily "prospecting" to generate new customers.
