ATGStores.com Introduces 'Sample Knobs & Pulls Credit Program,' Offers Customers Return Credit on Sample Purchases

Kirkland, WA - November 6, 2014

ATGStores.com provides customers a way to receive a $50 return credit on sample purchases made from its selection of cabinet knobs and pulls, which includes more than 8,000 designs from leading manufacturers.

ATGStores.com is introducing a new customer-focused plan called the Sample Knobs & Pulls Credit Program that provides shoppers with a return credit of up to $50 on sample purchases made from its selection of more than 8,000 cabinet knobs and pulls.

The program is intended to help introduce customers to a wide variety of cabinet hardware while also making it easier for them to find the perfect fit in an ever-expanding field of online home improvement options.

"We understand people have a lot of choices, whether online or in the store, and that sometimes it's important to be able to see and feel the product before deciding on a larger purchase," said Jessica Jay, Director of Business Development. "This is one way we can bring a better shopping experience to our customers that will add value to their home improvement projects and help them select the right products."

To receive return credit, customers first place an order that includes a selection of knobs and pulls that are limited to a quantity of one per design. Once received, customers can decide which knobs and/or pulls they like best and place a second order for the remaining pieces they need to complete the project. Customers then contact ATGStores.com with both order numbers to receive an account credit of up to $50. (See full program details here.)

Shoppers may include a sample of knobs and pulls in any online order, including those that contain other items. No special sample order needs to be made to qualify for the program.

"Our goal is to continue to deliver all that's good to our customers by offering a risk-free and simple shopping experience," said ATGStores.com President Michelle Newbery. "We're confident our customers will enjoy being able to try out a selection of knobs and pulls without having to worry about order complications or being stuck with a design they don't like."

ATGStores.com features more than 8,000 cabinet knob and pull designs from numerous well-known manufacturers like Amerock, Liberty Hardware, Schaub & Company and Jeffrey Alexander, as well as American-made brands that include Hot Knobs, Knobware and Sietto.

"In many ways, the Learning Lounge is an extension of our customer service; another way for us to engage with people and help them save time and money on home improvement projects."

The Learning Lounge has three main components: the Media Gallery, Articles and the ATGStores.com Blog. The Media Gallery contains infographics, how-to videos and other image-based content, while the Articles section and Blog provide detailed information on hundreds of topics.

"Learning can be inspirational. This is a place where people can drop in for a quick tip or hang out and enjoy more in-depth material."

ATGStores.com Makes $65,000 Product Donation to Habitat for Humanity to Launch New Community Initiative

Kirkland, WA - August 06, 2014

ATGStores.com announces the "All That's Good Deeds" program, a community initiative with monthly philanthropic giving, beginning with a donation of furniture and lighting to Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County.

ATGStores.com is proud to take the first step in a new charity initiative with a $65,000 product donation to Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County. The donation will support Habitat for Humanity's affordable homeownership program in Seattle and surrounding communities.

"This partnership is part of our new "All That's Good Deeds" program, an initiative with monthly philanthropic goals we hope will make a difference in our community," said ATGStores.com President Michelle Newbery. "We're excited about this and other opportunities as ATGStores.com works to bring all that's good to families in Seattle and beyond."

The donation includes new furniture and lighting that Habitat for Humanity will sell at a significant discount at its Seattle and Bellevue stores. The gift will further the Habitat mission on two fronts: by providing high-quality home products at an affordable cost and funding its homeownership program with the proceeds.

"We are so grateful for the wonderful merchandise donated by ATGStores.com," said Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County Director of Retail Stores Don Gordon. "This first donation of quality hardware, lighting fixtures and furniture will be sold at our Habitat Stores where the proceeds will go towards our important goal: putting an end to inadequate housing and strengthening our communities."

Both groups anticipate strengthening the new partnership in the coming years to support Habitat's homeownership program, which requires qualified low-income homebuyers to also invest sweat equity into the homes they purchase.

"The ATGStores.com team is excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity to help our local community," said Ms. Newbery. "We're committed to our customers, employees and neighbors, and this is just one of many efforts to come."

Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County has an open-door policy for anyone who would like to come in and lend a hand. No experience is necessary and all are welcome to share in helping to build a stronger, safer community. This branch is an Affiliate of Distinction and has several ongoing projects throughout the area, including many that are distinguished for meeting elevated standards for energy efficiency.

ATG Stores Launches American-Made Lighting Website

Kirkland, WA May 4, 2008

Kirkland, WA - ATG Stores, the parent company of 22 home furnishings related e-commerce sites, and 12 showrooms located throughout Washington State, is proud to announce the launch of a new site dedicated entirely to American-Made Lighting.

AmericanMadeLighting.com was created to offer shoppers the widest selection of American-Made lighting on the internet. All products available on AmericanMadeLighting.com are constructed in the USA by independent manufacturers who maintain a dedication to quality and true artisan craftsmanship. Customers can shop with confidence knowing that their purchases will help support the struggling United States national economy, as well as the workers and designers who produced these products.

While the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) considers products Made in the USA to consist of 'all or virtually all' domestically produced or manufactured parts and labor, the FTC does not take into consideration the location or ownership of the company. ATG's standard is different, considering American-Made Lighting to be constructed of over 51% American-Made parts, completely assembled within the United States, and manufactured by companies both owned and operated nationally.

Gary Rubens, CEO of ATG Stores explains, For example, if a company based in the United States builds an iron frame for a specific fixture, wires, and assembles the fixture locally, but the glass component is manufactured in China, the product would not qualify as Made in the USA [according to the FTC's regulations], because the glass bowl is a substantial part of the overall product. Since ATG considers American-Made products to be constructed of mostly all locally produced materials, this product would qualify. Rubens continued that customers often ask specific questions about a product's country of origin, as supporting US companies and manufacturing is quickly becoming an issue of importance.

ATG hopes that providing a site dedicated to American-Made lighting will encourage US consumers to make buying decisions that will support local businesses. With a national economic downturn forecasted, ATG aims to promote economic growth by becoming the source for American-Made lighting on the web.

ATG Stores Launches Eco Lighting Universe Website

Kirkland, WA April 22, 2008

Kirkland, WA - ATG Stores, the parent company of 5 major e-commerce sites, 15 niche sites, and 12 showrooms located throughout Washington State, is proud to announce the launch of a new specialized site dedicated entirely to green lighting for the home, EcoLightingUniverse.com.

The concept behind EcoLightingUniverse.com is to offer environmentally-conscious consumers, builders, and designers a more efficient shopping experience by providing a full catalog of products specific to reducing the ecological impact of residential lighting. The site offers a complete selection of ENERGY STAR® certified lighting products, as well as fluorescent bulbs and fixtures, LED technology, Dark Sky compliant outdoor lighting, Dimmer systems, and Solar lighting.

Along with offering the largest selection of earth-friendly lighting fixtures on the web, ATG also aims to help educate its customers by offering research and information about sustainable energy, and the environmental costs associated. Customers have the opportunity to learn about the products they are shopping for, and gain essential knowledge about the ways these products can help reduce their home's carbon footprint.

But what makes Eco lighting so important? Gary Rubens, ATG Stores President explains, If every household in America replaced the five light fixtures that are most frequently used with ENERGY STAR® approved lighting or equivalent compact fluorescent bulbs, energy costs would be cut by nearly $8 billion per year, and the greenhouse gas emissions prevented would be equivalent to that of 10 million cars. This equates to an individual household responsibility for preventing the release of over 5,000lbs of harmful CO2, and a savings of nearly $300 in energy costs over the lifetime of the bulbs. Who knew that something as simple as changing a light bulb can add up to such a big difference?

ATG hopes that providing a site dedicated to ecologically conscious lighting will encourage consumers to make green decisions when designing and remodeling their homes. Ultimately, ATG aims to promote awareness for environmental and energy conservation, by becoming the source for energy efficient lighting and information on the web.

These new niche sites were created to help specialized shoppers shop within a chosen category, style, or theme. By offering sites dedicated to specific product catalogs, customers can more efficiently search for and locate the exact products they are looking for, said Donald DeVange, ATG's Search Engine Specialist. These niche sites will also give ATG's manufacturers more opportunities to feature their products to a targeted customer base, and will help support the new ATG Stores brand.

ATG hopes that these niche sites will provide customers with a comfortable and effortless shopping experience, while providing them with the same dedication to value and support as the original sites. These new sites will present shoppers with a customized look, as well as special features, articles, and additional product information as significant to each site. As an added convenience, sites such as KidsRoomUniverse.com and CrystalLightingUniverse.com will feature additional products across multiple channels, such as crystal cabinet knobs and decor items, and kid's sinks, hardware, and rugs. From this format customers will have the ability to shop for a wider selection of coordinating products within a chosen theme, all from one place.

What's next for ATG Stores? The company plans to add even more niche sites to its family, and will also be expanding into other divisions of home design. With a 12th new local showroom recently opened in Smokey Point, WA, ATG continues to strengthen its role as one of the top providers of decorative lighting, plumbing, flooring, and hardware in the nation.

Lighting Universe features AF Lighting's Candice Olson Line

Kirkland, WA October 19, 2006

Candice Olson, star of HGTV's Divine Design releases her new licensed lighting line with Lighting Universe as a signature dealer. Lighting Universe, a high end resource for custom residential and commercial lighting fixtures, will feature the new Candice Olson products online and showcase several exclusives in its five Washington State Showrooms.

We are extremely pleased to be working with AF Lighting. This is an exciting opportunity and a significant relationship for us as we continue to expand our Lighting Universe product line, said Gary Rubens CEO of Allied Trade Group, parent company of Lighting Universe. Candice Olson and the AF Lighting design team have cleverly combined traditional styles and contemporary designs to create pieces that our customers will love to have in their homes.

The Candice Olson Collection will launch with approximately 100 to 120 designs which include table lamps, floor lamps, sconces, chandeliers and standalone pieces. Each piece combines of 1930's style with a contemporary feel. I drew every piece myself. I'm not just putting my name on these products-I'm very happy with them, said Olson. It's entirely a lifestyle line. I was going for the cleaned up 1930's style - not ornate deco but scaled back. The overall concept was to have a modern stylized look-soft contemporary with quality. There is lots of shine and sparkle.

Lighting Universe named One of top shops of 2006

Kirkland, WA - August 10, 2006

Lighting Universe, a high-end custom residential and commercial lighting resource has been named one of the best places to shop by Northwest Home + Garden magazine's 2006 Top Shops July/August issue.

Northwest Home + Garden magazine's 2006 Top Shop awards were developed to provide readers with a home design shopping guide. Our Top Shop issue provides readers with a list of local can't-miss' shops that feature a variety of product lines and styles that appeal to our readership. With so many wonderful home design resources in the area, Northwest Home + Garden magazine tries to recognize the well-established venues, as well as to target new and unique shops that aren't on everyone's retail radar, said Shannon O'Leary, editor of Northwest Home + Garden magazine

Each shop is nominated by area designers, architects, stylists, writers, readers and other relevant experts; the shops are then narrowed down based on inventory, shopping category, reader interest, trends and much more. This year, 195 shops were selected out of over 300 local businesses.

We were recognized as one of the Top Shops in the Northwest because of our vast selection of product, knowledgeable staff and our convenient locations around Washington State. Our showrooms make it easy for customers to shop the latest lighting trends and find designs to perfectly match their homes, Gary Rubens CEO of Allied Trade Group, parent company to Lighting Universe.
